  1. Hi Nicolette!

I thought you did a great job of summarizing the opportunities, and pinpointing the problem and those affected. With regard to opportunity 2, I wonder how this will play out in the future with states increasingly passing marijuana legislation that runs counter to federal law. Will other accounts be shut down? Who determines which accounts are shut down? How will those not in government be affected?

I found that in determining who has a problem in each opportunity, there were specific groups of people and also groups more broadly defined. I noticed that you include the same thing. For example in opportunity 4, the parents, foster parents, children, social workers, had the problem, as well as the child welfare system more broadly.

  2. Hi Nicolette,

I loved to read your work. It was very brief and organized. I couldn't agree more on the lower popularity of football match. As an exchange student, I expected to see more fun at the games. However, the first game was quite boring since we won too far, but the surrounding environment was great. I love how people shout out 'Go Gators" and do Gators Chomp. So, I think one time is enough to gain that experience. Some of my friends are selling their seasonal ticket after the first game. Some marketing campaign needs to be implemented. I hope that it would come back to be popular again very soon. Overall, you did a brilliant job on this assignment.

  3. I think that the opportunities involving the deaths from motorcycle accidents, the decreasing efficiency of the Child Welfare system, and the article discussing the robbery through Facebook have the most scope. I also had one of my opportunities discussing the accidents that take place on motorcycles or mopeds because people do not wear helmets. The robbery through Facebook can be combatted if Facebook ensures the credibility of the people selling their belongings.

  4. You know, it's kind of funny to think about college football losing popularity in the US. Baseball has long been considered "America's Pastime", but there is something about College Football on Saturdays. There are SO many more options anymore for sports and entertainment, however.

The banking issue for the candidate who helped pass marijuana legislature is fascinating. I never would have considered those types of issues.

The remaining articles you chose are why I hate watching the news anymore. I think your blog is really well written, albeit hard to read, especially concerning Jordan Belliveau. Your identification of the all the problems and their applicable affected parties was really well done.
